Castle TV Series Cast News: Nathan Fillion Reveals He Would Like to Portray This One Particular "Show-Offy" Superhero

Star to the hit ABC police procedural drama TV series "Castle," Nathan Fillion recently appeared at the Chicago Wizard World Comic Con wherein he revealed the name of the superhero he would opt to portray should he be given the chance.

As recorded ComicBook.com's official YouTube Channel (via Screen Rant), a member of the audience asked which hero from either the Marvel or DC Comics universes he would be likely to play. His reply sent the crowd cheering.

"I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold. That's kind of my niche: show-offy, vain… I think I could handle that. Not to bright," the 44-year-old Canadian replied.

For other possibilities, Fillion added Ambush Bug, which is also from DC.

"…you like that? A little bit off his rocker, you'd never see my face," he said as the audience sounded off their agreement.

For the uninitiated, Booster Gold is a member of the Justice League. He was created by Dan Jurgens, who also wrote for a number of Superman titles, and was originally depicted as a "glory-seeking showboat from the future."

Michael Jon Carter in real life, Booster came far from the 25th century future Gotham City. Using his knowledge of historical events as well as his arsenal of futuristic technology, the character moved back to the 20th century Metropolis with the intention to stage high-publicity heroics.

Aside from his high-level hand to hand combat skill, he also possesses advanced technology which gives him the ability to make flights, throw powerful blasts, create force fields, capacity to enhance his strengths, and other capabilities.

The character has made only one live action appearance in an episode of "Smallville" and it was for a cameo role. Screen Rant however revealed that "Arrow" and "The Flash" big bosses Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg were in fact commissioned by SyFy network to develop a TV series based on Booster Gold but it never come to fruition.
