NBA Playoffs 2016 Preview: Miami Heat Confident Heading Into Tie-Breaking Game After Winning Against Toronto Raptors
The Miami Heat are headed for Game 5 of their semi-finals series against the Toronto Raptors with momentum after their previous performance in Game 4.
The fifth game, which aims to break the tie between the two teams, is slated on Wednesday, May 11, at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, as per The Star.
The Heat were able to make the series a more interesting one after tying 2-2 during the fourth game last Monday, May 9. Miami emerged victorious with a final score of 97-84 in overtime.
Superstar point guard Dwyane Wade was the star of the night for his team, scoring 30 points, along with four rebounds, shooting 13 out of 24 from the field, through 38 minutes of playing time. The rest of his teammates such as point guard Goran Dragic and forward Joe Johnson ended the night with 15 points apiece.
The Heat put on an impressive comeback being down nine points late in the fourth quarter. They eventually held on to a lead for 13 seconds in the fourth period, but remained ahead during the extra time.
For the Raptors, it was big man Bismack Biyombo who put in the most numbers, scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Point guard Kyle Lowry only put up 10 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, as he was fouled out late in the fourth. And for him, the game going down the wire is pretty much expected, given that they are battling to move ahead in the playoff series.
"That's what you get when two teams are trying to make the conference finals. We're going at it," Lowry said. Miami is gunning for their fourth championship this year, having won their last title in 2013.
For his part, Wade is simply enjoying himself as he rides on a confidence high as the series moves forward.
"Every other day we're playing and it's taxing, but I love that every time I come out on the court I feel just as good as I did the last game," Wade said as per NBA. "It allows me to go out there and play the game I love the way I can. I'm enjoying this."
