NBA Trade Rumors: The Philadelphia 76ers Moving Jahlil Okafor Seems Very Likely to Happen at This Point
Both the team's decision-makers and Okafor's representatives are working to find a good deal
After going through the Carmelo Anthony saga, the Paul George dilemma, the Jimmy Butler situation and the brief but eventful Kyrie Irving quandary, some National Basketball Association (NBA) fans would probably appreciate a little reprieve from trade rumors, but they may not be getting that.
The NBA trade market remains active and currently, one of the big names present in the rumor mill belongs to Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor.
This is no surprise to fans who have been following the league. Okafor has been on the trading block since last year, and at one point, it even seemed like a deal was imminent.

Alas, Okafor is still on the 76ers and thus the trade winds continue to swirl.
It is worth noting that there is something a bit different about Okafor's current situation.
According to a recent report from ESPN staff writer Chris Haynes, both the 76ers' decision-makers as well as Okafor's representatives are working together to find the best trade for the 21-year-old athlete.
That is as good a sign as any that Okafor really does have no more place within the organization, and it makes it clear that this trade is going to happen.
So, should fans expect a deal to go down anytime soon?
In all likelihood, the 76ers and Okafor's reps will likely wait for the trade market to fully develop before they sign off on any deal. On top of that, Haynes reported that no front-runners have emerged at this point as well.
All of that is to say that a deal is probably not just days away from being made.
Still, Okafor is a near lock to be moved and it is possible that he is dealt before the trading deadline. If not then, then fans should expect to see Okafor be traded during the summer of 2018 and no later than that.
