NBC Falls to Fifth Place: Poor 'Smash' and 'Do No Harm' Figures Hurt Network (VIDEO)
NBC has fallen to fifth place in the ratings war among adults aged between 18 and 49.
The news will be alarming to network bosses, who have been unable to halt a slide in ratings over the past year.
The NBC network is now ranked below Univision as well as the other three major networks, in disastrous news for the network.

NBC was said to be "flying high in November," according to a Deadline report, however, the network has experienced a horrendous slide in fortunes, and is shockingly now even behind Univision.
New figures have revealed that over the period from Jan. 31 through Feb. 19, NBC has been averaging a 1.2 rating for adults in the 18 to 49 demographic. That score is a disappointing 1.5 points below Univision's rating of 2.7 for adults over the same age demographic.
The figures represent a new low for NBC network bosses, who have attempted numerous shake ups in programs to combat the slide, but have been unable to gain any success in raising viewers.
CBS is currently the ratings leader with a 4.9 rating in that demographic, largely thought to be thanks to its special broadcasts of the recent Super Bowl and Grammy Awards in 2013.
NBC had hoped that "Do No Harm" would help stop the slide, and the show debuted on Jan. 31. However, it received hugely disappointing figures and was canceled after just one show.
NBC network bosses were also thought to have been relying heavily on "Smash," which had a strong first season. However, it second season so far has bombed with viewers down a massive 71 percent from its original season premiere.
It is likely now that the NBC bosses will be looking eagerly to the start of the next season of hit reality singing show "The Voice," which arrives back on screens on March 25.
