'NCIS: Los Angeles' season 7 plot news: Callen and his father

The upcoming season of "NCIS: Los Angeles" is expected to present characters in a deeper light.

It was reported that season 7 of "NCIS: Los Angeles" will introduce more characters, as well as revelations. With that, the season is expected to show more interesting plots, with more perplexing background checks to come.

The previous season left off with an exciting cliff-hanger, hinting an interesting twist in Callen's family. It was reported that Callen's father is still alive, which will lead to Callen's search for his family. The upcoming season is expected to focus on Callen and his journey to becoming rogue. He will become involved with the CIA and Russian criminals, which will cause him several issues in the series.

The creator of the series, Shane Brennan, recently shared information about Hetty, played by Linda Hunt, and Sam, played by LL Cool J and their involvement with Callen's life. He explained, "The boy she took under her wing when he was 15, and she has nurtured him and cared for him and guided him through his entire adult life ... they reach a point in this episode where he will not tell her what he's doing, and she's making demands on him to find out," as reported by TV Guide.

According to Carter Matt, the premiere of season 47 is titled "Citadel." The premiere will tell the story of Deek's mother's arrival to the series. The character will be played by Pamela Reed. It was stated that her introduction to the show will bring to Deek's past and how he became who he is.

It is evident that the upcoming season will produce an interesting twist into the lives of the characters, allowing fans to know more about the show's character.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 7 will premiere on Sept. 28.
