'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 9 Spoilers: More Details of Hetty's Vietnamese Adventure to be Revealed
New details on Hetty's (Linda Hunt) secret mission will be revealed in season 9 of "NCIS: Los Angeles."
In the episode titled "Assets," the promo (via Spoilers Guide) shows a glimpse of Hetty. The diminutive leader of the NCIS team was revealed to be in Vietnam following a lead about a "bogeyman" she cannot forget about. In turned out that another person survived the plane crash that Hetty was in many years ago.
Previously, it was acknowledged that she was the only one who turned out alive in the deadly accident. Now, a reliable source is telling her that the man was a former CIA agent and that he has been killing people left and right since 1969.
Meanwhile, the teaser also reveals that the squad will investigate a murder case of a Navy lieutenant who specialized in monitoring classified intel. The woman was killed while on leave in the city. The probe will reportedly uncover the truth that the officer may be selling surveillance briefs to a foreign buyer. The NCIS must trace her steps and see who purchased the intel. The safety of every citizen of US is at stake.
Elsewhere, the team will have another round of unpleasantness with the new boss, Mosley (Nia Long). So far, all of them are having difficulty adjusting to her style of leadership. Last episode, Mosley, and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) fought when she said she did not want Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) to work with them anymore.
Mosley is convinced that the NCIS squad will do well even without the LAPD detective. She also does not approve of Deeks and Kensi's (Daniela Ruah) relationship. The "Densi" couple are expected to face more setbacks due to Mosley's meddling. Elsewhere, Deeks will have to explain to his mother why she heard the news of his engagement from Kensi's mother and not from him.
"NCIS:Los Angeles" airs Sundays, at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
