'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 9 Spoilers: Callen Faces Off Against Mosley Over Deeks
Callen (Chris O'Donnell) is not happy with the way the new executive assistant director is running the show in the upcoming season premiere of "NCIS: Los Angeles."
In the episode titled "Party Crashers," a sneak peek (via Spoilers Guide) showed the NCIS agent having a showdown with Mosley (Nia Long), and it looks like it did not take long before her style of leadership offended the NCIS team.
In the clip, Callen told the new boss he did not like how she was acting towards Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen). It was previously teased that Mosley did not want to see the LAPD detective working with the NCIS squad. According to her, she wants her team to be strong and exclusive, without needing to tap on outsiders when dealing with cases.
Callen looked irritated as he told Mosley that she cannot dictate how he runs the team. As far as he was concerned, Deeks was a valuable member. Mosley then challenged him and asked if they really needed the detective to get the job done. Callen was then understandably offended.
Meanwhile, a different sneak peek showed Deeks and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) on their usual morning jog. It has been teased that their relationship will hit a major setback when Mosley tries to separate them. The assistant director is not a fan of dating between co-workers. She is especially against Kensi's being engaged to Deeks, someone whom she considers beneath them.
The clip showed the couple talking about Deeks' mother. Apparently, he has yet to tell her about the engagement. Kensi then asked her fiancé when he planned to inform her, and he said he would tell his mother after the honeymoon. As expected, Kensi urged Deeks to give his mom a call that moment. When he eventually did, he told his mom's voicemail that she should catch up with him soon, preferably next month.
"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 9 will air on Oct. 1 at 9:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
