'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 9 Spoilers: Callen Reunites With Anna

Anna Kolchek (Bar Paly), Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) love interest, will soon be back in the new season of "NCIS: Los Angeles."

Showrunner R. Scott Gemmill recently revealed to TVLine that the blonde cop-turned-security specialist is set to work with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in one of the upcoming storylines. Speculations are rife that she will soon meet up with Callen and continue the flirting that started way back in season 6. The NCIS agent is obviously interested in Anna, though neither of them has tried to take their connection to a different level. Perhaps, the new installment will see Callen finally getting the courage to ask Anna to be his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, the squad is set to meet their new boss, and according to Gemmill, it will not be a fun experience. For one, Mosley (Nia Long), will not hesitate to share her thoughts about agents dating at the workplace. It seems like the new executive assistant director will not approve of Kensi's (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks' (Eric Christian Olsen) engagement. The EP teased that Mosley would especially be antagonistic over Deeks as she believes the LAPD detective is too cozy inside the walls of the NCIS headquarters.

"But theres a new sheriff in town," the EP teased, sharing that it looks like she is "very concerned about having the couple working together."

Gemmill added that Long's character "doesn't even think that Deeks should be working for NCIS. She sees him as more of a civilian than what our other guys are."

It has been previously teased that it would take a while for the NCIS team to get used to Mosley. It will not help that she is bringing with her an equally intimidating assistant. Harley Hidoko (Andrea Bordeaux) is an ex-military who has been working with Mosley even before the latter got assigned to take over Granger's (Miguel Ferrer) post. Extremely loyal to her boss, the NCIS people will have a hard time relaxing when she is around, knowing that every word they will say against Mosley will likely be relayed in detail.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" season 9 will air on Oct. 1 at 9:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
