'NCIS New Orleans' season 2 spoilers: Team gets two more people
Fox's latest NCIS spin-off has ended its freshman run and is now headed into a second season. The season ended on a happy note as the team was able to catch the elusive Bayfish and discover the mole inside the office who, as turns out, was Jim Messier (Dylan Walsh), a captain with New Orleans Police Department who worked with the team in the past.
The new season has promoted two characters to series regulars: investigative computer specialist Patton Plame and ex-ATF agent Sonja Percy. Plame is played by Daryl Mitchell, while Percy is played by Shalita Grant.
The premiere is titled "Sic Semper Tyrannis" and it will pick up right where the first season left off when Agent Pride (Scott Bakula) received an intelligence report that the ports where breached. The team participates in a very dangerous undercover mission after discovering that a missile that will be used in a naval exercise has been stolen. This mission may have some deadly consequences. The premiere promises to be action packed.
In the upcoming season, fans will still see the Broussard crime family in full force as they continue to wreak havoc in the city, while Agent Pride tries to stop them once and for all. The powerful family will still be the series' big bad.
The show is currently filming and the producers are looking for some red dress runners as an episode will feature the annual run that attracts men and women alike. Actress Zoe McLellan shot the gun to start the run at last year's event, prompting the producer's desire to use the event.
Actress Shalita Grant mentioned that the second season will be more badass than the first. She also promised a lot more girl power as she and Zoe will bond more throughout the season. She mentions the fourth episode since that is where most the girl power will be seen.
"NCIS New Orleans" will return on Sept. 22.
