'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 3 Spoilers, Air Date and Teasers: Team Pride Takes on a Highly Accurate Sniper in Premiere; New Agent to Show Unexpected Vulnerable Side
The no-nonsense new member of Team Pride will show a vulnerable side
The "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 just released two promo teasers and if they are anything to go by, the season premiere episode is a good indication of a lot of good things to come for the much anticipated third season of the spin-off series of the long running NCIS series.
Brody leaves the team
Agent Meredith Brody (Zoe McLellan) will not be returning for "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 after a poor judgment she had last season. Because of her, the integrity of Team Pride was compromised. Brody has since left the team in order to avoid further implicating them.
A new female agent named Tammy Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito) will be sent from Washington D.C. to evaluate how Pride (Scott Bakula) and his team conduct their operations in "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3.
Highly accurate sniper
The first episode of the upcoming season is titled "Aftershocks". It will pick up right from where the events of the second season of "NCIS: New Orleans" ended. In one of the promo videos released just a few days ago, Pride, LaSalle (Lucas Black) and Percy (Shalita Grant) are seen checking out a murder scene. It seems to be the work of a highly skilled sniper. The three agents are also seen trying to get as much info as they can about the sniper.
The premiere episode synopsis of "NCIS: New Orleans" revealed that the NCIS team will end up teaming with different federal agencies to track down a sniper who is targeting random people in crowded events in New Orleans.
Tammy's dark secret
The synopsis also shared that FBI Special Agent Tammy Gregorio will be arriving to investigate Pride and his team. In an interview, Ferlito described her character as someone who has a no-nonsense and abrasive style that will be the cause of friction between her and the team, more so with Percy.
Come episode 5 of "NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 however, something will happen that will make Tammy bare a vulnerable side of her. Ferlito further revealed that Pride knows everything about it.
Ferlito added that her character carries a burden from her past and it is really bad. Many people suffered as a result of something Tammy was involved with in the past and she feels responsible because of it. It is also the reason why Tammy decided to join the FBI. Ferlito hinted that this thing from her past that makes Tammy vulnerable has something to do with her past lover.
"NCIS: New Orleans" Season 3 premiere is on September 20 on CBS.
