'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 4 Spoilers: Sebastian Contemplates On His New Tasks In The Team

The fan-favorite laboratory technician Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich) will be promoted as one of the new field agents in "NCIS New Orleans" season 4. But he might not be prepared to face the demands of his new role.

Executive producer Brad Kern revealed in an interview with TV Guide that the nerdish technician will be able to kill a person for the first time next season. But he may not be able to deal with its repercussions.

"He's never killed a person before. It's sobering and it makes him question whether he's cut out for NCIS or not," Kern stated. The executive producer also mentioned that Sebastian will also have to contemplate if his actions as a new NCIS agent in New Orleans is reasonable or not.

Meanwhile, executive producer Chris Silber previously told the same publication back in May that the plot of season 4 will take place six weeks after the events of season 3. This means that Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) is still under probation after his unorthodox ways of bringing down Mayor Hamilton (Steven Weber) for all the crimes that he committed in the past.

According to Silber, everything that Pride did in the season 3 finale will affect his next moves when the series returns next season.

Silber also teased that there will several new faces who will grace the show in season 4. There is also a chance to see several favorite characters who will be back to reprise their roles.

"We really enjoy working with some of these characters we've met. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw [Gregorio's ex] McKinley (Ed Quinn), I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some of the other old favorites coming back — maybe there'll be a Tom Arnold, I'm not sure," the executive producer also stated. "But we always love playing in the sandbox with some of these characters and are always glad to have them back."

The premiere episode of "NCIS: New Orleans" season 4 is slated to air on CBS on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 10 p.m. EDT.
