'NCIS' Season 13 Cast News, Update: FLOTUS Michelle Obama Joins NBC's Police Procedural Drama

In the previous week, reports surfaced indicating that the 13th season of NBC's hit police procedural drama TV series "NCIS" will be featuring a real-life famous personality whose reputation is that of national importance in one of its upcoming episodes.

The report from The Washington Post said that the high-profile guest star is none other than Michelle Obama, the First Lady of the United States of America. The publication revealed that Mark Harmon, a leading cast member of the show playing the part of Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, was spotted among the crowd of tourists and press members "poking around" the White House's northwest gate.

He was seen in his recognizable "black jacket, and a scarf to match his silvery hair." Speaking to their source, the 64-year-old revealed to the Post that the show will be shooting scenes in both the exterior and interior part of the First Family's official residence.

Then on Thursday, Apr. 21, a report from Entertainment Weekly can finally confirm the FLOTUS involvement in the network's popular TV programming.

As revealed by the media outlet, the wife to the current US president, Barack Obama, is set to appear as herself on an upcoming episode, where the organization she co-founded with Dr. Jill Biden in 2011, Joining Forces initiative, will take center stage. The said group, according to EW, "aims to support service members, veterans, and their families through increased education opportunities, employment resources, and access to wellness programs." Extras in the Joining Forces roundtable will be comprised of actual military spouses, the site added.

True to what The Post has stated, the aforementioned NCIS segment will be set in the famous house where Gibbs will be welcomed by Obama herself in the episode titled "Homefront," airing this May 3.

"NCIS" Season 13 won't be the first TV stint of the 52-year-old. The mother of two has appeared in shows like "Parks and Recreation" as well as on "Jessie."
