'NCIS' Season 13 News: DiNozzo Questions His Identity
With the exit of Michael Weatherly fast approaching, the upcoming episodes of "NCIS" have began focusing on how DiNozzo is expected to leave the group.
The most recent episode of the season saw DiNozzo becoming involved in the issue of identity theft. In order to solve the case, they got the two men pretending to be Tony to see what their motives were. While investigating, the fake Tonys confronted Dinozzo about his idle life, having no kids and no life.
This struck Tony, making him wonder about the purpose of this life. The episode saw him saying, "I feel like my life is a charade. You'd tell me, right, if I was losing my edge, the DiNozzo edge? Because I feel like it. Sometimes I feel like I don't know who I am ... like I've already lost my identity. Is [the identity theft] some weird metaphor for my psychological state?"
The upcoming episode are expected to focus on DiNozzo's loss of identity. This will cause him to think of different opporunities he could involve himself in in order to find purpose. There are speculations that the writers will have DiNozzo leave the team in order to pursue a different career. However, there are other theories stating that he might even start is own NCIS team.
Meanwhile, DiNozzo's exit is expected to make way for new character sto enter the series. It was confirmed that Sarah Clarke will be joining the team in order to portray the role of Tess Monroe.
Aside from that, it was revealed that Duane Henry from "Law & Order: UK" will be introduced as a character named Clayton Reeves. He will be a MI-6 agent with a simple past. The executive producer of the series Gary Glasberg also shared some interesting details about their new cast member.
As reported by Carter Matt, he said, "We think we found something really special in Duane Henry … His unique blend of charm, heart and athletic physicality is going to be a great addition to the mix. Everyone at NCIS is excited to have him join us."
