'NCIS' Season 14 Episode 21: Torres Takes the Lead in New Case
Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) will take point in an important investigation in the upcoming episode of "NCIS."
In the episode titled "One Book, Two Covers," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) reveals that the NCIS will be tapped to probe the murder of a Marine. When it is revealed that the death is connected to an old gang of Torres', he will be asked to lead the team.
In the past, Torres went on an undercover mission. For a year, he posed as a member of a dirt bike gang. To solve the recent murder, he will dig into his old notes about the group and call old contacts, hoping for answers.
Fans of the series are enjoying Torres' dynamics with the other characters on the show, especially Quinn (Jennifer Esposito). The two appear to be on the verge of dating. Even their colleagues can tell that there is something going on between them. Previously, both denied that they were romantically involved when they were trainees. When Quinn suddenly took a leave of absence, Torres was worried about what happened to her. That time, she went home to see her mother, thinking that there was an emergency.
Marie (Mercedes Ruehl), Quinn's mother, has dementia. Her lucid moments are becoming few. She thought that her husband, who has been dead for three years now, was still with them. Quinn decided to move in with her because she was worried. Torres tried to cheer her up. Marie also loved him.
Last episode, Torres and the others investigated a hacking incident. Vice Admiral Chase's (Bruce Boxleitner) computer was hacked. The culprit was asking for money. When the virus was passed to the NCIS agents' phone, the threat became personal. McGee (Sean Murray) took the lead and they were able to solve the case.
"NCIS" season 14 episode 21 airs Tuesday, April 18 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
