'NCIS' Series News: Show's Season 13 Finale to be a Roller Coaster of Emotions as Michael Weatherly Leaves Show after 13 Years
Michael Weatherly's Tony DiNozzo character in "NCIS" season 13 is just a few episodes away from its final appearance, and, at this point in time, it still remains uncertain for the viewers of the show on how it will usher out his character as he bids goodbye.
Sans the availability of any confirmed piece of news as to how the character will depart from the show, fans can only hope that the season finale episode will feature a Tony - Ziva reunion in order to give the two characters one last time to share the small screen.
However, if rumors are to be believed, it seems that the creators of "NCIS" have already anticipated what the fans want as it is rumored that the final episode of "NCIS" season 13, which will also serve as the swan song of Weatherly's Tony DiNozzo character, will, indeed, bring back Ziva, which is played by Cote de Pablo. According to Zap2It, it is widely speculated that the show is finding a way to weave Ziva back into the show's last episode to make Tony DiNozzo's exit truly memorable.
Meanwhile, according to an interview of TV Line with "NCIS" showrunner Gary Glasberg, the season finale of the show's 13th season will feature Tony DiNozzo facing some difficult choices.
"We established early on there were choices that Tony was going to be making as he's looking at his career… He's going to find himself at a bit of a crossroads, with some significant issues to deal with," Glassberg said.
While everything about a Tony-Ziva reunion is speculation at this point in time, it is certain that the show's last episode for this season will feature a roller-coaster of emotions. Glassberg warned the viewers that Tony DiNozzo's final episode on the show will be filled with heart-wrenching moments, as the episode, which is titled "Family First" will feature meaningful exchanges between DiNozzo and each of his fellow team members.
"I'm very proud of the emotional resonance of what this is, even in terms of what we're filming right now in the finale," Glassberg assured the fans of the series.
