Nearly Nude Driver DWI Charge: Woman Denied Nudity to Cops (VIDEO)

Charges have been filed against a New Jersey woman who stands accused of driving while intoxicated. The woman was wearing nothing but an unzipped coat when police pulled her over, according to reports.

A 36-year-old woman was at the heart of an accident on Friday after crashing into a stone wall in the Sparta Township of New Jersey and then driving away. A nearby resident reported the incident and told police that the car involved was a white Volkswagen Jetta.

The car was later spotted off the highway. But when police pulled the Catherine Giaquinto to the side of the road, they discovered that she was wearing nothing but an unzipped jacket, according to WTSP news. Police stated that Giaquinto appeared to be intoxicated. She told police that she did not remember the accident and when asked about her nudity, she denied being naked, Sgt. John-Paul Beebe told the news station.

Officers spotted clothes in Giaqunto's car and ordered her to get dressed. She allegedly struggled to do so for over 10 minutes.

"During processing, Giaquinto became argumentative and disorderly," the News 10 report stated. "She was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath testing, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, careless driving, failure to wear a seatbelt and a documentation violation."

Giaquinto is not the first, however, to have been pulled over and caught in the nude. A little over a year ago, police were on a high-speed chase. After catching up to the driver they discovered that she was a woman and completely naked. The entire scene was caught on video.

"In 26 years of working in Bainbridge Township as a police officer, I don't ever recall having a subject in a such a state of undress and being driving," Chief Jon Bokovitz with the Bainbridge Police Department of Ohio told CBS after the incident.
