It follows "Need for Speed: No Limits," which was released in January this year for iOS and in February for Android.

According to OnCars.in, the 2015 reboot will combine vivid graphics, customizable cars, and a strong narrative to hook players with its realistic story experience focusing on a total of five real-world race car drivers.

Each of the real-world drivers will have their own designated icons based on the game's Five Ways to Play. Porsche collector and restorer, Magnus Walker will be Speed Icon, pushing players with adrenaline-fuelled racing; Hoonigan professional rally driver, Ken Block will serve as Style Icon with his aggressive driving; RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF running and customizing company founder, Akira Nakai San is the Build Icon, and outlaw underground racer, Morohoshi-san takes the Outlaw Icon.

The reboot will be story-driven, appointing players to the role of a young race car driver venturing into the illicit world of nighttime street racing. Photorealistic visuals blend live-action with in-game assets, all set in an open-world environment with Ventura Bay as a background.

Players will find that nearly every part of their chosen vehicle, from body kits to tire traction, can be customized, as well.

Ghost Games, creators of the NFS series, says the reboot will allow players to experience gameplay from their own viewpoint, including making their own decisions as they progress through the game.

"Need for Speed: Reboot" will be launched for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
