NeNe Leakes Cryptic Tweet Fuels 'Housewives' Axing Rumors; Was She Let Go?

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes fueled axing rumors on Wednesday after posting a cryptic tweet on social networking site Twitter.

In recent weeks the veteran "housewife" has been subject to axing reports after it was claimed that Bravo TV producers became fed up with her alleged demands for more money. Following the season 6 reunion Leakes, who reportedly earns upwards of $1 million per season, is rumored to have demanded a pay rise which in turn jeopardized her gig on the show.

"Nene thinks she's a bigger star now, due to a recurring role on Glee and the now-canceled sitcom The New Normal. She also says her appearance on The Celebrity Apprentice makes her more bankable," a source said according to Showbiz Spy.

"Her ego is out of control, but she's wrong if she thinks Bravo will give her more money," the source continued. "She feels she's done a lot for Bravo ... She is betting the network does not want to lose her. But NeNe is playing Russian roulette … Producers aren't sure she's worth it anymore."

In a cryptic tweet Leakes advised her 1 million followers to "never" stay in a job where you're unhappy. The tweet has some fans speculating whether the tweet directly relates to her role on "Housewives."

"Good morning tweetie pies! Never continue n a job u don't enjoy! Follow ur passion & success will follow u! Hav a great day," Leakes tweeted on May 14.

One blog claims that in addition to Leakes' rumored firing, her costars Porsha Stewart and Cynthia Bailey are also on the chopping block.

Life and Style magazine claims Bravo Executive Andy Cohen may have been behind the decision to allegedly fire Leakes from the show.

"He was pissed about the way that NeNe acted on the reunion this year, so much so that he might not ask her to come back," a source told Life and Style.

"He thinks she has become a diva and was very irritated with her for not really answering his questions!" the source added.
