NeNe Leakes 'Tired' of 'RHOA'? 'It Wears Me Out'

NeNe Leakes insists she is tired of being negative on her Bravo TV show, "Real Housewives of Atlanta."

"There is a part of me that is tired. There's a part of me that doesn't want to sit on a panel and belittle each other all day long," she told Atlanta radio station V-103 recently. "I mean that's very draining. We shoot this show for over eight months."

Despite Leakes' current issues with her co-stars Kenya Moore and former friend Cynthia Bailey, she insists it is not easy being negative on the series.

"I feel like at the end of the day, all of us women have accomplished something to even be on this show," she said. "So to just sit there and be so negative towards each other is … I have to say that a part of it wears me out."

Last month Leakes spoke to Essence.com about her portrayal.

"I feel like these networks and production companies- I'm just keeping it real- I just feel like they build you up to tear you down," she said. "I feel like they've done whatever they could do to try to not show me in the best light."

Leakes went on to explain her position on the matter.

"I feel like so many people cry wolf on editing. I'm just saying that they've done whatever they could to try to diminish anything that I've done and I'm okay with it because I know about reality TV," she said. "Every season there has to be a villain; there has to be somebody that straddles the fence, and there has to be a little (expletive) stirrer. All of those things make the show."

Bailey, the model and entrepreneur, had issues with Leakes' calling her husband a derogatory term. While it seems the ladies attempted to patch up their differences on their Bravo TV show, Bailey believes her friend has been disrespectful by speaking about why she should be kicked off the show.

Leakes' recent negative comments about her former friend are damaging for her image, Bailey said.

"I have seen the very best of Nene Leakes, and I witnessed the very worst of her during this appearance," Bailey insisted. "What she did and said was not coming from a good place, and was downright dirty. The damage she thought she was doing to me, in turn has damaged her image more."
