Netflix October 2017 Lineup: What Titles Are Coming? Which Ones Are Going?

Fall is well underway, and so is the late-year programming of Netflix as it announces the next set of shows for the upcoming month of October. What shows and movies are coming or leaving the streaming service less than two weeks from now?

With October comes Halloween, and what better way to celebrate than with a new season of "Stranger Things?" Season 2 of the thriller, first teased at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, is set to come to Netflix on Oct. 27. That's plenty of time to warm up with seasonal features like "Cult of Chucky," as Gamespot notes.

This time, the streaming service has sprinkled in a lot of movies for their set this upcoming October. This upcoming month's comedy fare include "Tommy Boy," "Miss Congeniality" and its sequel, "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous," and "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby."

Top Netflix originals are making their return as well, with "Voltron: Legendary Defender" season 4 among the few notables. For the most part, the streaming service is taking next month as an opportunity to launch new material like "The Meyerowitz Stories," featuring Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller trying out drama roles, as spotted by IGN.

Fans of "30 Rock" better get their fill before the series, all seven seasons of it, disappears on Netflix as early as the first of October. Seasons 1 to 4 of "Prison Break" are on their way out on that day, and so are all seven seasons of "Malcolm in the Middle."

Comedy and cartoon fans also have just until Oct. 29 to binge on six seasons of "Family Guy," before seasons 9 to 14 are booted out from the streaming service.

The short clip below shows the San Diego Comic-Con 2017 teaser for the second season of "Stranger Things," coming to Netflix next month in time for Halloween.
