The documentary is titled, "Raising Adam Lanza" and will look to give viewers an inside look into what Lanza was like when he was growing up and what kind of upbringing he received.

The documentary will reveal how Lanza's mother, Nancy, told a family friend how her son hated to be touched, even for simple things such as giving a high five or shaking hands.

The Hartford Courant/Frontline investigation, which provides the details for the documentary is set to air on PBS Tuesday night.

The program will reveal that news articles about Breivik's mass murder were found in Lanza's home, suggesting the troubled youth might have taken inspiration from the July 2011 tragedy at the island youth camp in Norway.

Breivik killed 77 people in total that day, eight with a bomb blast at a government building and 69 more using firearms. It was one of the biggest mass murder incidents in Europe's recent history. The killer, who pleaded guilty, received the maximum 21-year sentence for his crime under Norway's legal system.

The documentary will unveil numerous new photos of Lanza from his childhood and teenage years. It will also show mother, Nancy Lanza, as a gun enthusiast, and how she legally purchased the Bushmaster semi-automatic rifle Adam is believed to have used in the attack.

It has been reported that Nancy, who was shot by Adam prior to him going on his killing spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School, trained him to use guns at a shooting range close to their home.
