New App Delivers Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's Display Glow to Any Smartphone
A new free app has been discovered can help any smartphone mimic the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge glow when a contact calls.
A free app created by developer Golgorz called Edge Color Notification is one of the first app releases emulating the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge feature colors at any smartphone's edge whenever a favorite contact calls.
The free app, launched by Golgorz in March 9, is available at the Google Play Store and has been rated 3.9 stars over 4 from over 1,000 users who have downloaded and tried the Galaxy S6 Edge mimic.
Users can opt for a number of different animations with glow effects, and even set separate colors for contacts, as well as for incoming app notifications.
Currently available for Android 4.1 phones and higher, the app does not drain smartphone batteries with its 2.5MB size, and it has been updated to show the edge color glow even when an Android phone is on lockscreen.
Edge Color Notifications is ideal for when users need to keep their phone on silent but need to know when they receive calls or app notifications.
For users who crave a Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge but aren't prepared to shell out $950 for the latest Samsung flagship handset, the free Edge Color Notification app makes an inexpensive substitute.
Golgorz, owned by developer Diego Lopez Rivera, has several other well-received apps available for free on Google Play, including Hovering Control for users to use their smartphone without touching the screen; Flincked, which allows users on chat or videocall to put an impression of their fingerprint on their phone's screen which vibrates when the other user touches it; Anywhere Notifications in beta phase for users to get all their notifications wherever they are, and Easy Sound Output, which allows users to automatically channel their sound output to a connected Bluetooth device.
