New City Discovered By Fan At Demo Of 'Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae'
Discovery of hidden items in big ticket games are always taken as a challenge by fans. The latest news on "Final Fantasy XV" is that an eager fan discovered the 'City of Lestallum' while playing the demo of Episode Duscae of the game.
Gamers know that Square Enix always tries to keep players well within the bounds of the map, especially during demos, trailers, etc. Such was the case with the recently released 2.0 version of the "Final Fantasy XV" demo 'Episode Duscae.' They could not have imagined a new city would be discovered at the demo itself.
But eager and curious fans who want to explore the open-world games and having played other such games are no match for the game developers as their exploration of the game leads them to such discoveries.
In the present demo, even though Square Enix has made the border passing difficult, Nico Nico user ApaNeL made the discovery of the 'City of Lestallum' by beginning at the south-western region of the map. From the tip of this region, he followed a long road and came across the 'City of Lestallum albeit a low-resolution version of the city.
When the gamers come across this city, they will see that it is an incomplete one and looks as if it is intended to be seen only from afar. With its discovery, Square Enix will have to work on the details and replace the incomplete one with a detailed version.
Another tactic for the "Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae" pertains to not arrive at the 'game over' situation. If a player walks too far away from the path, they should open the item menu just before the game kills the player's character. As a result, they will not get the "game over" screen but the partly transparent screen of the menu will remain open at all times.
Another speculation concerns the clothing of the main characters. Fans are questioning why Noctis, the prince of Lucis, is wearing black while Luna is wearing white. Does this suggest some alignment of characters along national and territorial allegiances?
"Final Fantasy XV" director Hajime Tabata explained the rationale behind this and Siliconera has translated the explanation as "They are each wearing the specific battle dress relevant to their individual stations. In the Kingdom of Lucis where our heroes reside, the colour black has historically been treated as a special colour. Because of this, the attire of the royal family and those in occupations closely tied to them are unified by having black as a base colouring."
Hopefully, when "Final Fantasy XV" launches on PS4 and Xbox One in 2016, gamers will have all of their questions answered by then.
