Kansas City definitely made sure that they made the most of the opportunity given to them. Against the Texans, they played efficient and smart football which resulted in a dominating display.
The Chiefs forced five turnovers and scored a touchdown in the first quarter of the game. They scored another touchdown in the third quarter and kept the pressure to win 30-0.
This comes at an opportune time as they are facing the Patriots who had a bye in the previous week. It may be a welcome break for them as the defending champions are coming off back-to-back losses to end the regular season.
They lost to the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins and are hobbled by injuries that make things a little bit uneasy for the franchise.
However, with star players still available to use and having a week to rest and recover, maybe the Patriots have gotten their wind back just enough to face the Chiefs.
This is going to be the first time the two teams will meet so expect an interesting clash as both will want to limit their mistakes as much as possible and also try to be aggressive enough to ensure the victory to go on to the next round.
