New Google Nexus 5: Leaked image confirms specs rumors
For months, rumors about the new Google Nexus 5 have been floating around, but a recently leaked image has confirmed the rumors about the upcoming device.
Based on an image posted by AndroidPit, the new Google Nexus 5 would feature a 5.2-inch full-HD display and will run a Snapdragon 808 processor with 3 GB of RAM. The said photo appears to be an official press photo from Google, according to Latin Post.
As of now, the specs of the new LG-made Nexus 5 are still under wraps, but it will surely run on the latest Google operating system, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The OS and the device will most likely be unveiled during Google's event on Sept. 29, the report details.

The upcoming Nexus 5 will also probably be the first Google Android smartphone that will do away with the usual charging cords and will have a USB Type-C connector. It will also be powered by a 2,700 mAh battery.
In AndroidPit's photo, the device appears to have a soft, broad white back with prominent camera lens. A ring under the lens is rumored to be a fingerprint scanner. However, the device in the supposedly leaked photo looks a lot like the Nexus 5 previously posted on Weibo, which bears the LG logo.
Last year, the Nexus 6 almost got its own fingerprint scanner placed at the back of the device, but Motorola canceled the feature at the last hour, due to issues with the supplier. In an interview with the Telegraph, Motorola chief Dennis Woodside explained why the scanner was suddenly axed, Forbes reports.
"The secret behind that is that it was supposed to be fingerprint recognition, and Apple bought the best supplier," said Woodside. "So the second best supplier was the only one available to everyone else in the industry and they weren't there yet."
In lieu of the scanner, a dimple can be seen on the Nexus 5. But the feature would finally be debuted on the next Nexus, plus the addition of the most-awaited Android Pay.
