New 'GTA Online' Adversary Mode 'In and Out' Goes Live on Tuesday

Rockstar Games has announced a new multiplayer mode for "Grand Theft Auto Online." The new adversary mode is called "In and Out" and it's arriving Tuesday, May 3.

In and Out is described as "an intense new take on Capture style team gameplay, where Attackers must try to steal all 8 packages of contraband out from under the watchful eye of well-armed Defenders." Rockstar has not release any gameplay trailer yet, though there's a livestream video below showcasing the new mode.

Promotion for the new In and Out mode started on Friday, April 29, and runs through Thursday, May 5. By participating in the event, players can earn double GTA$ and RP. The event features a rotating playlist which includes Hunting Pack and Hasta La Vista. From May 3 to May 5, Rockstar Will make available to players a playlist that features all three maps of In and Out.

The new mode follows Inch by Inch, another adversary mode that was also released in April. Inch by Inch has two teams, each carrying a package. Each team must bring the package to their opponent's endzone to score. Along with Inch by Inch, Rockstar released the Vapid Minivan, but for In and Out, the developer did not roll out any new vehicle.

In addition to the new mode, Rockstar also announced "GTA Online's" Ammu-Nation sale. The promotion covers almost everything. SMG Ammo's price has been slashed in half. Combat MG and Assault Rifle Mods are discounted at 25 percent, while grenades and sticky bombs can be bought for 20 percent less.

  • Grenades - 20% less
  • Sticky Bombs - 20% less
  • Assault Rifle Mods - 25% less
  • Combat MG - 25% less
  • SMG Ammo - 50% less

"GTA Online" is the online component of "Grand Theft Auto V," which is available in PC, PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. "Grand Theft Auto V" sold 60 million copies, while "GTA Online" reportedly generates roughly $500 million in revenue from microtransactions.
