New Jersey Devils NHL Trade Rumors: Parenteau the Center of Trade Rumors Again
New Jersey Devils right wing P. A. Parenteau has bounced around the league and played for seven different teams already during his 10 years in the National Hockey League (NHL). With the trade deadline approaching, he is well aware that there's a chance that he may have to move again. He's used to moving by now, but he likes to stay with the team.
In an interview with Andrew Gross of The Record, Parenteau said he's just going to continue helping the team win games so that he would not be traded. Well, that's actually a good idea. The Devils do have a realistic chance at making the playoffs and if they feel that they need Parenteau to make the push, they may just keep him.
"I went through it last year. I was having a really good year and I didn't get traded. Who knows? The market changes every year. I'm aware of my age, and when I sign a one-year deal like that, if the team is going to be out of playoff contention, there's a chance I get moved," he stated during the interview.

Right now, Parenteau doesn't know what general manager Ray Shero is planning, but he knows where he stands in the team. "I have a little bit of an idea, obviously. We're not stupid," he said. "But I feel like I'm still a good player. I feel like I have a lot to give. We'll see where that takes me," he added.
Parenteau is playing well this season and he will be a decent addition for teams looking to add depth at the forward position. Reports say that he would fit in quite well with several teams including the Boston Bruins, the Ottawa Senators, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Aside from Parenteau, sources say Kyle Quincey may be trade bait as well if the Devils can't climb in the standings before the trade deadline.
