New Movies on Netflix in December 2014: 'A Knight's Tale,' 'American Beauty' and More

It's the holiday season once again, and to get away from the rush and craziness of the season, sometimes, it's nice change of pace to curl up on the couch with a nice movie.

New movies will be making its way to the streaming service in December, and among them is "A Knight's Tale" starring the late Heath Ledger. See Ledger as William Thatcher, a squire who decides to change his stars by impersonating a knight and challenging the best knights in the land in the jousting competitions. The film, which premiered in 2001, also stars Paul Bettany in his scene-stealing role as Chaucer, and Shannyn Sossamon as Lady Jocelyn.

Another movie making its way to Netflix is "Almost Famous," the movie that catapulted Kate Hudson to stardom and earned her an Oscar nomination for her role as wild child Penny Lane.
