New 'Naruto Boruto' Game, 'Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy' Collection for PS4
The "Naruto Shippuden" anime may have ended, but there is plenty of content from the shinobi world to go around including not one but two new "Naruto" titles for the PlayStation 4 (PS4).
The first title is called "Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker," which is described as an "acrobatic ninja battle" game that offers multiplayer and online battles featuring four and eight players, respectively.
Unfortunately, these are the only details about "Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker" although it is expected to be published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
A release date has not been set yet, but more information is expected to emerge on Monday, April 10. A website for the upcoming game is already set up, but it does not appear to be live yet and has no content in it at the moment.
The second "Naruto" content to get a load of is "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy." Set for release on July 27, it is basically a compilation of the three "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm" titles released in 2009, 2010 and 2013, respectively. The downloadable content (DLC) rolled out for all three titles will be included in the bundle as well.
"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2" and "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3" were released to the Xbox platform so fans could only hope that an Xbox One version for "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy" will be released as well. At the moment, the collection is only confirmed for release in Japan for the PS4.
Meanwhile, those who pick up the first copies of the "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy" will be rewarded with the chance to watch the "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" at this year's Jump Special Anime Festa event with a poster to boot.
Developer CyberConnect2, the company behind the three titles, will provide a code within these copies that the players can use in accessing these bonuses.
The current flagship title in the franchise is "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," which was released February last year.
