This year, things are very different but the rivalry remains — with both teams boasting star power in the frontcourt, this should be a very interesting battle.

The Oklahoma City are one of the best teams this year and are looking to keep their spot atop the Northwest Division.

They have two of the best players in the league in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, which make them one of the most dangerous squads to battle with.

On the other hand, the Pelicans are desperately trying to bounce back from a horrible start in the league, and star Anthony Davis is carrying the load for the team as they try to salvage the season.

However, when they face big teams like the Thunder, Davis definitely needs more help from his other role players.

Unfortunately, in their first two meetings, the Thunder established their dominance over their rivals and won the games leading up to this third and final matchup.

The first game was relatively close as Oklahoma City won 110-103, thanks to 43 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists from Westbrook.

In their second meeting, it was a far more dominant win for the Thunder as a 121-95 result was capped off by another amazing performance from Westbrook who had 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Another win will help Oklahoma City sweep the season series, while the Pelicans are hoping they can get at least one win against the West powerhouse.
