New ROM Leaks Android Lollipop For Galaxy Note 3
A new Android Lollipop ROM leak for the Galaxy Note 3 was discovered.
The ROM firmware is believed "to be better suited as a daily driver," according to GSM Arena. The leak is about 1.1GB in size and it requires a few more steps before it is properly installed.
To install, the user should have the Odin app. It is recommended to back up the entire smartphone before applying the firmware. The new ROM was specifically tailored to improve the TouchWiz experience using the Android Lollipop carousel app switcher.

Another improvement is the runtime which has been made compatible to the Android Runtime (ART). With the new ROM, running apps after rebooting will be much faster. However, with the ART, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cannot be lined to the XPOSED framework. If the user is not really sure of how to install the new Android Lollipop leak, they can just wait for the formal update from Google.
Meanwhile, XDA developers have already applied the said ROM and they have noted a couple of changes and improvements accomplished by using the new firmware.
First of all, the TouchWiz had a definite increase in performance.
"There was something magical to the innate speed and responsiveness of the beautiful, nondescript black slab. Now, after this latest version, TouchWiz doesn't just seem to match the Nexus 5's Lollipop in real world usage – in many aspects, it surpasses it," according to XDA.
It was also tested for the benchmark, a stress test on the hardware comparing it to the top phones all over the world. Though it has been known that Samsung is "cheating in their benchmarks" by having a code that improves the clock speed of the device, their test with the new Android Lollipop ROM shoot up to 1.9ghz. But, as a note, Antutu benchmarks are not really the accurate real life reference but it could be close.
