New Samsung Gear 360 – Specs, Compatibility, Release Date, Live Streaming and Price
Samsung will release Gear 360 in US market on August 19; Now available in South Korea and Singapore.
Samsung Gear 360 has captured the attention of tech enthusiasts at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year and soon it will hit the stores on August 19 in the United States.
The Gear 360 is unlike any camera or gadget for taking photos. Aside from its usual specs, it has unique features that have charmed Samsung fans and enthusiasts everywhere. The ball-shaped camera was on limited availability in the US for $350 since last month and has been in stores in South Korea and Singapore since April.
The announcement for the availability of the Gear 360 in the US followed the Samsung "Unpacked" event held in New York. The new Galaxy Note 7 was also unveiled in this event.
Samsung Gear 360 features and specs
The Gear 360 allows users to take photos as it happens. The device has front and rear lenses that capture 180 degrees horizontally and vertically which, when combined, creates a beautiful, seamless 360-degree field of view. Users may also use the Gear 360 in single lens mode to capture an image or for cool video and stills.

Compatibility
The Gear 360 is compatible with the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphone models. Users can pair their Galaxy smartphone using Bluetooth through Wi-Fi Direct to use the screen as a handy remote viewfinder. The smartphone can also be used to manage files stored in the Gear 360 camera.
The Samsung Gear 360 is also compatible with Google Street View app to allow users to capture and instantly upload photo spheres. Users can share crisp, clear and exciting views of their street or as they travel to different places and destinations.
Livestream
In live view mode, users can shoot and afterwards stitch video footage easily. Users can edit and share through their Galaxy smartphones or from their PC. The 360-degree view taken from the Gear 360 dual lens is optimized for Chrome, Firefox and Edge. This service is not available on mobile devices.
Release date and price
The Samsung Gear 360 will be available through US Samsung stores online and offline starting August 19. It retails for $350.
