New Year's Rockin' Eve 2013 Live Stream: Watch Online Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen (Performers, Line-Up)
As New Year's 2013 approaches partygoers are making their final preparations in anticipation of the ball dropping in New York City at the stroke of midnight. The New Year's Rockin' Eve 2013 live stream is available via the link below, and performances from Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen and Psy are set to take place on Monday night ahead of the New Year.
Record crowds are expected to gather in New York City on Monday, as the iconic illuminated ball decorated with doves representing this year's theme of "Let There Be Peace," waits to descend welcoming in 2013.
The New Year's Eve ball is scheduled to be raised at 6 p.m. ET and will begin its iconic descent at 11:59 pm ET. Every major television network is airing nonstop coverage, but ABC's longstanding New Year's Rockin' Eve will begin their coverage at 10 p.m. ET.
There will also be a special dedication to late TV host Dick Clark, who had helped usher in the New Year since 1975 and was a permanent fixture on New Year's Eve show for nearly four decades.
Ryan Seacrest will assume the role of hosting the annual television event with scheduled performances by Taylor Swift, PSY, Carly Rae Jepsen and Neon Trees. "It'll be emotional for us," Seacrest said, according to Yahoo News. "Because he's not going to be with us for the first time ever."
"I am both anxious and excited," Seacrest added. "I'm just a conduit to a worldwide celebration of hope and everything else the New Year brings. I feel the gravity of the privilege I have to serve this role but also just want to make Dick proud as I carry out the role of timekeeper on this special night."
An estimated one million people in Times Square will stand shoulder to shoulder to watch the ball drop, in addition to millions watching on television from around the world. Organizers also revealed that as soon as the ball welcomes in the New Year one ton of confetti will be released over the revelers in Times Square.
Coverage for the show begins at 10 p.m. ET and can be watched online here.
