New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers Live Stream: Watch Online NFL Football
The New York Giants are making the trip to Charlotte, where they will face the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night at Bank of America stadium. Both teams are coming off of victories last week and look to continue with a win.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning had a dismal first half to start last week's win over the Tampa bay Buccaneers in which the Super Bowl champion tossed three interceptions.
To his credit, Manning rallied his team and put up numbers that rarely happen in a game, let alone a single half. Manning ended the game with the eighth most yards for a game in NFL history with 510 yards and three touchdowns. He threw for 243 yards in the fourth quarter alone to lead the Giants to a 41-34 win.
Hakeem Nicks had 199 receiving yards and Victor Cruz ended the game with 179 yards, but the Giants were able to stifle a Bucs offense that had found success exploiting the Giants secondary.
The Panthers would be wise to review the Giants game film from last week and use quarterback Cam Newton's ability to throw the ball downfield and extend plays to develop a game plan for the Thursday night showdown.
Newton was able to torch the New Orleans Saints secondary throwing for 253 yards. The quarterback also ran for 71 yards and had two total touchdowns in the 35-27 win over the Saints.
"You do read option, read option, read option and then get them to play seven or eight in the box and you've got so many variations of plays and passes you can run off that," Newton said during a post-game press conference on Sunday.
It will be interesting to see how both teams handle the short week having played on Sunday, but it is something that both teams have to endure.
"It's tough for the players and the coaches, but it's all part of it," Carolina coach Ron Rivera told the Associated Press.
Kick-off for the game is at 8:20 p.m. and can be watched on the NFL Network or online here.
