New York Knicks NBA Trade and Roster Rumors: Knicks Interested in Suns Guard Eric Bledsoe

The New York Knicks aren't expected to win many games this season as they continue to rebuild the team around promising young players like Kristaps Porziņģis, Tim Hardaway Jr., Willy Hernangómez and Frank Ntilikina. However, they have been given the chance to jumpstart the rebuild because Eric Bledsoe has made it abundantly clear that he no longer wants to play for the Phoenix Suns.

According to ESPN's Ian Begley, the Knicks are among the teams that have expressed interest in acquiring Bledsoe, and the Suns reportedly want Hernangómez and Ntilikina in exchange for the athletic guard.

However, the Knicks are not interested in trading away Hernangómez and Ntilikina at this point. In fact, the New York Post's Marc Berman has reported that the Knicks found the request "ridiculous."

Both players haven't really played much this season. Ntilikina is currently dealing with a left ankle injury, and surprisingly, Hernangómez has been demoted to third-string center behind newly-acquired big man Enes Kanter and sixth-year pro Kyle O'Quinn, and he's not happy about the lack of playing time.

"I was mad. But I have to keep working and wait for my moment. I know I'm ready. I showed last year I can play here. I really love playing here in New York. ... I want to win. This city and the fans, they love the effort, they love to win, so I try to show I can really play and help the team win," Hernangómez said, via the New York Post.

But despite the lack of minutes, both players have been touted as future franchise cornerstones.

Bledsoe has become the most sought-after trade prospect after he went public with his desire to leave, and if the Knicks want to get him, they will have to find a way to put together an attractive package without Hernangómez and Ntilikina.
