Forward Paul George came up big on game night, dropping 27 points, along with seven rebounds and six assists, shooting 10 out of 23 from the field, through 36 minutes of playing time. Forward Myles Turner was the second highest scorer for Indiana, finishing the game with 24 points, along with six rebounds, shooting 10 out of 20 from the field, through 29 minutes of playing time.

The second game last April 3rd at the Madison Square Garden in New York was another close contest, with the Pacers winning the game with a final score of 92-87. The Pacers were up by as much as 18 points, but squandered their lead through the second half of the game.

But it was George who was once again the hero for his team as he played through a sore left ankle. He did manage to sink a tiebreaker with 23.6 seconds left in the game, ultimately leading the Pacers to victory. He ended the game with 20 points and nine rebounds, shooting 7 out of 15 from the field, through 28 minutes of playing time.

Indiana recently had their three-game winning streak snapped by a loss to the Toronto Raptors last April 8th. While they did bounce back through a victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, head coach Frank Vogel says the game against the Raptors did a number on his team.

"All year we felt we had a team that could do damage in the playoffs. (It) was about getting it done to get there. I think our guys were motivated after the Toronto game," Vogel said in an NBA.com report.

The Pacers currently hold a record of 43-37, while the Knicks banner a slate of 32-49.
