Next Episode Of 'Arrow' Has A New Mayoral Candidate & Entry of Mr. Terrific
The next episode, "The Candidate," in "Arrow" Season 4 has an old friend, Jessica Danforth, announcing her candidacy for Mayor of Star City. Curtis Holt makes an entry and will transform into superhero, Mr. Terrific. Villain Damien Darhk continues his dark deeds with Captain Lance chasing him.
After last week's season 4 premiere that was the show's highest rated premiere opening since the first season, the second episode deals with two storylines mentioned previously - Jessica's announcement as the candidate for Star City's Mayor and the entry of Curtis Holt, who will eventually get into superhero mold and become "Mr. Terrific." The new video of the trailer shows Jeri Ryan, of "Star Trek: Voyager," will play Jessica Danforth while Echo Kellum will play Mr. Terrific.
According to ComicBook.com, the synopsis reads as follows:"When an old family friend, Jessica Danforth (guest star Jeri Ryan), tells Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Thea (Willa Holland) that she is going to run for mayor, both Queens are concerned considering the last three mayors have been murdered. Despite their protests, Jessica makes her announcement so the Green Arrow and Speedy vow to protect her. Meanwhile, Thea begins to exhibit effects from the Lazarus Pit. In addition, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is faced with a tough business decision and looks to one of her employees."
Fans are relieved that Oliver Queen finally be suiting up as Green Arrow, something they have been expecting from the start, and move on to adventures that will involve him and his team coming face to face with the villains that threaten Star City. Fans are eager to know the villains who will be tormenting Oliver Queen besides Damien Darhk.
The previous three mayors of Star City have been murdered so Oliver and Thea are worried when an old family friend, Jessica Danforth, tells them that she is going to run for Mayor of Star City. She does not heed to their protests so now the Green Arrow and Speedy have to protect her and they vow to do so.
Even though Thea was brought back from the dead, all is not well with her as the effects from the Lazarus Pit starts to tell on her. Meanwhile, Felicity asks for help from one of her employees, Curtis Holt, when faced with a difficult business decision.
There is a disconcerting rumour that Felicity might die in this season. The finale scene in the premiere hinted very strongly that an important member of Team Arrow will die six months in the future and the clip shows Oliver and Barry, aka The Flash, standing over a fresh grave. Whether the dead person is somebody from "Arrow" or "The Flash" remains to be seen as it is rumoured that it was Felicity who was buried, as reported in USA Today.
"Arrow" Season 4 Episode 2 titled "The Candidate" will air on October 14.
