Next-Gen OnePlus Phone News, Rumors: Alleged Leaked Photos Reveal Dual-Camera Set-up

It's only been about a couple of months when Chinese phone manufacturer OnePlus unveiled the latest OnePlus 2 (OP2) phone. The anticipation among fans is so high that it was reported to have sold out over 30,000 units within the first 64 seconds of its launching.

Now, it was recently heard that 2015 will yet see another smartphone product from the company that prides themselves for manufacturing top-of-the-line "flagship killers."

Citing the report from GSMArena.com, it was found through the statement released by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei that their next-gen phone device will be unveiled before 2015 ends and is in time for Christmas.

Pouring further details on the matter, during an interview with USA Today, Pei said that the new line, which is said to be much cheaper than the first two products (OnePlus One and OnePlus 2), will be targeting a "different type of audience."

"There's going to be a second phone this year, before the end of the year. Hopefully for Christmas," he said (via NDTV).

And as expected, a host of unofficial renditions of the alleged next-gen handset made its way online this week. As shared by GSM Arena, the phone reveals to have a dual-camera set-up on its rear that is coupled with a dual flash.

The new surprising (leaked) spec may confirm what Pei had said that the upcoming OnePlus phone "may or may not" have a higher spec than the 2015 company flagship.

For those who missed it, the OnePlus 2 boasts an octa-core 64-bit CPU with Adreno 430 GPU. It also has a 13MP OmniVision Technology-integrated rear camera and is coupled with a decent 5Mp snapper at the front. It is powered with 3,300 mAh battery.

So far, the purported camera spec is the only known detail about the new OnePlus. Nonetheless, it is speculated that the company may implement inner changes rather than the external ones of the yet-to-be-named smartphone.
