The Nexus 10 vs. iPad 4 battle is a perfect match-up for the holiday shopping season and leaves consumers with a good amount of decision making when purchasing gifts.

Both tablets are extremely impressive products, but which one gives a consumer more for their money?

In terms of size, the Nexus 10 is thinner than the iPad 4 along with being wider and taller. It is also lighter, but feels as sturdy as an iPad.

The screen on the Nexus 10 measures in at 10.55-inches while the iPad 4 features a 9.7-inch display. The resolution is higher on the Nexus which packs 4 million pixels, opposed to the 3.1 million found on the iPad.

The Super PLS TFT HD technology used on the Nexus 10 is said to offer deeper colors and sharper images with more brightness and less power consumtion than the iPad's IPS technology.

The Nexus 10 currently only comes with Wi-Fi connectivity while the iPad connects to 3G, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi. However, the Nexus 10 features dual-side NFC which is not available on the Apple tablet.

Both of these tablets come with a 5-megapixel camera with the same image resolution and both can capture videos in HD. The Nexus 10 has a 1.9-megapixel camera in the front and the iPad features a 1.2-megapixel shooter.

The Nexus 10 comes in two memory capacities including 16GB and 32GB versions while the iPad comes with three memory capacities including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Samsung might release a 64GB version next year.

In terms of hardware performance, the Nexus 10 has a slight edge with its 1.7GHz quad-core powerSVX T-604 GPU with 2GB RAM. The iPad features a Samsung made A6X chip with just 1GB RAM.

For software, the Nexus 10 comes with Android 4.2, JellyBean preinstalled and the iPad features iOS 6.

The Nexus 10 starts at $399 while the iPad starts at $499.
