Nexus 7 2 Tablet Receives GPS Fix, Software Update Corrects Previous Issues
The Nexus 7 2 tablet received a bug fix for the GPS issues some users were having.
A software update was released yesterday that was created to correct problems users were having with the touchscreen. It also fixed some of the bugs that were found with the GPS system.
"As a couple of you have mentioned, there's a new system update that's started rolling out for your Nexus 7s," said Paul Wilcox on Google Product Forums. "This update does address the touchscreen issues discussed in this thread. If you're one of the people experiencing touchscreen issues, please let us know how it's going after you've received and installed the update."

He also clarified whether or not it would correct the problems with the GPS.
"Thank you for your patience while we've been working on this," he said. "As Justin mentioned, there is a new over-the-air update for Nexus 7 rolling out now that addresses the GPS issue discussed here. We look forward to hearing feedback about your GPS experience after you've received the update."
The first Nexus 7 models to receive the update were reported yesterday. In order to access it, users can head to Settings>About Tablet>System update and check if it is available.
The Nexus 7 features a 7.62mm thick frame, a 7-inch LCD IPS display with 1920 x 1200 resolution at 323ppi, a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Adreno 320 graphics, 2GB RAM, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front shooter, dual stereo speakers, Bluetooth 4.0, and 4G LTE connectivity.
The tablet also introduced Google's latest OS Android 4.3, JellyBean. The display on the Nexus 7 is 1080p which makes it the first Full HD 7-inch slate. The device's virtual sound technology is also quite impressive, as it gives you a 5.1 surround sound experience by using headphones or build-in speakers.
