NFL Free Agency Rumors: DeSean Jackson Could Return to Philadelphia; Tampa Bay Buccaneers Interested as Well

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson sure knows how to tease his suitors. Earlier this month, he said he wanted to stay with the Washington Redskins, but now he's hinting he could end up in the City of Brotherly Love with the team who drafted him in the second round of the 2008 National Football League (NFL) Draft.

In an interview with Adam Schefter on his "Know Them From Adam" podcast, Jackson said he was open to a possible return to Philadelphia and he believed that it would be a "great story and ending."

"Starting your career somewhere and you go to a division rival and possibly maybe going back. You think about all that, you start somewhere and maybe you want to finish it. There's a lot of speculation of a lot of thoughts. It all sounds good, but you never know until the final decision is made," he stated during the interview.

Aside from the Redskins and Eagles, Jackson is also linked to Tampa Bay Buccaneers since he reportedly has an "existing rapport" with their quarterback, Jameis Winston.

In an interview with the Tampa Bay Times, Winston confirmed that the Buccaneers were interested in signing him and he said Jackson would be a great asset to the team. In fact, Winston said he would like to recruit Jackson himself and ask him to join the Buccaneers.

"I feel like I can be one of our best recruiters. My main focus is to win. That's what I enjoy doing," he told the Tampa Bay Times in the same interview.

A lineup featuring Jackson playing alongside Mike Evans would be intriguing and Buccaneers fans would love to see that combination.

Right now, Jackson is still testing his value in the free agency market, but he's expected to go after a big contract. Whichever team has the deepest pockets probably has the biggest chance of signing him.
