Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon Divorce Rumors: Twitter Post Denies 'Trouble in Paradise'

In a series of posts on his Twitter account, Nick Cannon denied that he made any statement regarding his marriage and that confirmation of his split with wife Mariah Carey are completely false. Yahoo reportedly got a statement from the actor last month, in which he allegedly said, "There is trouble in paradise… We have been living in separate houses for a few months."

The "America's Got Talent" host claims that all this was made up, and took to Twitter to air his displeasure on the divorce rumors that started swirling after the statement circulated online.

"Trouble in paradise is the dumbest phrase I have ever heard! I would never say that s---!" Cannon tweeted.
It is reported that he went on a tirade on the social network, as he posted 17 tweets on Sept. 3.

"Because my family and I haven't been forthcoming with personal information, people are quick to paint negative pictures and spread rumors," he began. "During this challenging time for me and my family, it saddens me that the media can be such evil bottom feeders."

"I have personally been absent from social media for the past few months for obvious reasons but I feel the need to finally speak out," he continued. "For the record, I NEVER have, nor will I make a statement regarding my family."

Reports are saying that Cannon has given Carey his permission to take their three year old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, out of town because he allegedly knows that the singer is angry with him for speaking out of turn last August.

Cannon denied this and said that this is not the case, and that he loves his wife unconditionally.

"I will always love her unconditionally for this and so much more. @MariahCarey is an amazing Mother and I trust her wholeheartedly," he tweeted.

"I love @MariahCarey and that will never change!"
