Nick Young vs James Harden [POLL]: Who has the Better Adidas Crazy Explosive Basketball Shoes?

After nine years in the NBA, Los Angeles Lakers guard-forward Nick Young finally got his own basketball shoes under the Adidas Crazy Explosive line. The leaked photos of the new sneakers immediately drew comparison to the signature kicks of Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden. Who has the better basketball sneakers?

Young vs Harden: Basketball Shoe Comparison

According to The Washington Post, the first look of Young's Adidas Crazy Explosive Primeknit basketball shoes was generally well-received online. The reception is in contrast to the negative reactions received by the leaked photos of Harden's signature work boot sneakers in August.

Per FN, Young's Adidas Crazy Explosive basketball sneaker is unlike to Harden's kick because it is not a signature shoe. The sneaker, which costs $150, is a special colorway that has been branded with Swaggy P's logo on the tongue. It comes in an all-White aesthetic with hits of grey on the pattern throughout the Primeknit upper and the three-stripes branding.

On the other hand, the leaked images of Harden's signature kicks showed the Adidas Crazy Explosive basketball sneaker in "Triple Black" colorway. Although Adidas has not yet confirmed the boot-like black sneaker, sources claimed that Harden's signature shoe will hit retailers this December.

Questionable

While some internet users commended Young's new Adidas sneakers, others questioned why the sportswear giant picked Young to be the recipient of a player exclusive colorway of Crazy Explosive. Some considered Young unqualified for the line because he just finished the worst season of his NBA career, where he registered an average of 7.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game.

It can be recalled that Adidas announced in July that the Crazy Explosive line is built for the next generation of basketball superstars. The company stated that the line of basketball shoes is intended for unique players who possess explosive moves around the hoop.

Adidas signed Young into the line last December, after a drawn out bidding war between the sportswear company and its tough rival Nike. At that time, the deal was overshadowed by Harden's Adidas contract secured in the same year.

Aside from Young and Harden, the NBA players associated to the Adidas Crazy Explosive line include Andrew Wiggins (Minnesota Timberwolves), Iman Shumpert (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Harrison Barnes (Dallas Mavericks). Marcus Smart (Boston Celtics), Serge Ibaka (Orlando Magic) and Justise Winslow (Miami Heat) are also included in the franchise.
