Nicki Minaj Settles Confusion Over American Idol, Plastic Surgery Rumors

Hip hop artist and pop diva Nicki Minaj is trying to clear up recent confusion over her future with "American Idol" and her new album.

Minaj recently revealed that she is planning on returning to the recording studio and that her musical work might interfere with her time as a talent judge on America's hit television show American Idol.

The rapper, who has had a contentious relationship with the other judges, is not sure if she would be able to make the commitment needed to be an idol judge.

"I don't know, we'll see," Minaj told E! Online during an interview. "See the thing is, we're only half way done so, I am absolutely enjoying Idol but I don't know how I'm going to feel at the end of it."

Her time on the popular talent show has been overshadowed with the continued feud between her and Mariah Carey, who have had their creative differences over picking talent. They appear to be making amends, however.

"Unless, it looks like this … I don't know. God bless her though … I mean, that'll never happen," Minaj told Yahoo. "We had our differences, but it is all done with now, and we just get in there and do our job."

The "Starships" singer also felt the need to address some of the rumors that have been circulating in entertainment circles that allege the New York native of undergoing plastic surgery to get her famed cartoon look.

Minaj easily brushed off those rumors and explained that it is just because of her deal with MAC cosmetics and the use of their products that provides for her unique style.

"I've never had surgery," she told Extra. "When people see my makeup they think all types of crazy things that I'm doing to my skin, but it's makeup," she said.
