Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban News: Actress Reveals What Husband Does to Nurture Her Emotionally
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been married for 11 years now. In a recent feature, she revealed how they have been keeping their relationship strong all these years.
The "Big Little Lies" actress has been chosen to be one of the cover models for Glamour Magazine's "Women of the Year" issue, alongside "Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins, Syrian refugee Muzoon Almellehan, supermodel Gigi Hadid, and more.
In the issue, Kidman also opened up about her marriage with the country singer and former "American Idol" judge, and what he does to nurture her emotionally.
"Keith always says to me, 'You stay raw and sensitive, and I'll buffer things for you,' which is a beautiful offering," the Oscar-winning actress and U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador explained to the publication. "He is always told, 'You're so tough,' And he says, 'That's not what I want for you, Nicole. You don't need to get a thick skin,'" she went on to say.
She added, "I think for me, it's about having a place that's safe to nurture you, where the tears can be shed. That way I can actually go back open and curious and willing."
Urban turned 50 years old last week, and Kidman took to Facebook to dedicate a touching message to her husband.
Posting a sweet photo of them together, she said in the post, "Happy birthday to my husband, best friend, lover, baby daddy and the greatest man in the world. We are so lucky that you are ours."
She and Urban tied the knot in 2006, years after she got divorced with actor Tom Cruise.
Kidman currently stars in the mystery thriller film titled "The Killing of a Sacred Deer." According to Today, it was filmed just 40 minutes away from her home Nashville, as a consideration for her two young daughters — 6-year-old Faith Margaret and 9-year-old Sunday Rose.
She plays the role of Anna Murphy and stars alongside Colin Farrell, Barry Keoghan, Raffey Cassidy, Alicia Silverstone, and Bill Camp.
