Game director Yoko Taro recently talked about the game on the PlayStation blog. There, he sent some love to the folks over at Platinum Games, who put "Nier: Automata" together.

"Everyone at Platinum Games who developed this game respected the previous title and created a spectacular game for us," he wrote, referring to the 2010 original that went on to become a cult classic.

"I was in charge of the scenario, but it's all poop so I don't want you to expect too much from it," Taro went on to say, his trademark modesty when it comes to his work shining through.

The "Nier: Automata" director also thanked fans for their massive support, which he recognizes as the force that made the release of the game possible.

"The true nature of a game is not a strong and charismatic director displaying his or her vision, but instead is something formed by some kind of an unknown passion felt by a greater number of people," Taro said.

He knows that not everyone will be happy about how "Nier: Automata," but he said that he hopes that it would "hold some kind of meaning to everyone that plays it."

Before launching to the PC, "Nier: Automata" will first be released for the PlayStation 4 tomorrow, March 7.
