"When I'm really feeling it … I work out until I black out," Bryant to Kicks On Fire. The new "Blackout" is a testament to the iconic NBA player's hardworking 19 years dedicated to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Sporting a predominantly Persian violet hue reminiscent of the Laker's signature color on its upper and midsole areas, the colorway features a seamless textile upper utilizing open-weave technology, which offers users a lightweight basketball shoe that is both strong and breathable at the same time.

The tonal sole of Bryant's 10th signature basketball footwear is built with an advanced traction system combined with the new Zoom Air for a hybrid cushioning of softness, firmness and flexibility. An embossed gold roman numeral "X" can also be found at the heel's bottom.

Described as "ominous" and "menacing" by Sneaker News, the shoe's Nike's Swoosh logo, tongue, inner lining, laces, and heel area are done in contrasting black accents. The heel also has four red horizontal lines at the back representing Bryant's strong return after recovery from surgery to repair his Achilles tendon rupture in 2013.

According to Nike.com, the new "Blackout" will be retailing for $180 for adult sizes, and $135 for kids' sizes (3.5 to 7 years).

Fans of Kobe Bryant's Nike shoe line can expect retailers to stock the "Blackout" starting February 21 at 10 a.m. EST. Other Nike Kobe 10 colorways are expected to be introduced in the weeks following the release of "Blackout."
