Nikki Bella's Ex-Husband: WWE Star Married Unnamed High School Sweetheart Before, Knew It Was 'A Huge Mistake'
It is not a secret that World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Nikki Bella had been married before to her still unnamed high school sweetheart. However, it can be recalled that Nikki thinks it was "a huge mistake" right at the moment she was walking down the aisle.
Before Nikki let the cat out of the bag, her marriage was a huge secret that not even her family members knew about it. She has also been dating fellow WWE star John Cena for some time before she came clean and told him about the Las Vegas marriage.
In a 2014 episode of the "Total Divas" reality show which she and twin Brie Bella are a part of, Nikki rounded up her parents and siblings to confess about her marriage. It was then when Nikki said that she gotten married in Las Vegas years ago and an Elvis Presley impersonator had officiated the ceremony.

Nikki admitted that she married her high school sweetheart when she was 20, which means it was 10 years before she told her family based on what was shown in "Total Divas." According to Nikki, the divorce took place almost three years after.
Reports also add that Nikki and her ex-husband did not really live together after tying the knot. In fact, she claims they both even dated other people some time after the Las Vegas wedding and later on agreed to end the relationship.
In that episode, Nikki explained, "Even as I started to walk down the aisle, I knew, 'This is a huge mistake, how can I get out of it,' and I couldn't."
At the time of her confession, her family – apart from Brie – was obviously upset. Her brother walked out of the family room while her mom said, "With our relationship, I can't imagine that you didn't think you could come to me."
Meanwhile, as for Cena, the WWE star had also been married to his high school sweetheart in July 2009. And just like Nikki, John's marriage only lasted for three years.
Cena went down on one knee and asked Nikki to marry him in front of the almost 75,000 spectators at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida during Wrestlemania 33 last Sunday. Without hesitation, Nikki said yes.
