Nintendo Amiibo News: Leaked Photos of Playable Characters Timmy, Tommy Nook & Ryu

Amiibo fans are in for a treat as reports say that there are new Amiibo figures coming in their way. According to Realty Today, photos deemed to be promotional materials for the Nintendo Amiibo figures emerged earlier this week. After unveiling figures like Lucas, the leak suggested that more Amiibo figures will be revealed. It's also been noted that it will be exclusively available to various retailers depending on the figure.

As detailed in Gamespot, the leak featured some playable characters like Timmy and Tommy Nook from the "Animal Crossing" series. It also showed a Famicom variant of R.O.B the Robot which was originally released in Japan. Europe and North America received the NES version which is why it turned out as a surprise to the fans. It only means that Nintendo is planning to release the figure outside Japan.

The leak also gave a first look at the Ryu and Roy Amiibo figures. The Ryu figure is expected to be announced along with the R.O.B. during the upcoming broadcast for "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Sources have pointed out that the Roy figure will be exclusive to GameStop, which means that it will be a tad bit difficult to get it.

Other "Animal Crossing" characters have been revealed as well like Rover and Kapp'n. Nintendo Enthusiast, also reported that Mr. Resetti is included in the list. Meanwhile, the Timmy and Tommy Nook Amiibo toys will be made available in the retail store Target and they will be sold as a single Amiibo along with Kapp'n and Rover. This goes to show that that the "Animal Crossing" Amiibo are the main highlight.

But the details released are still not confirmed so it's best to take the reports with a grain of salt. New details will be revealed in December.
