During a Nintendo Video Chat, it was mentioned that the Nintendo NX is likened as a "reboot" for the company, Gaming Bolt noted. The console device is rumored to have detachable controllers and that it will mainly be made up of two parts and that it can function independently of each other and together.

Many believe that the Nintendo NX will be a hybrid console system that is unique on its own as it will be something that current consoles out doesn't have. According to Express, the Nintendo NX will reportedly have both a handheld and a main console system that can be detached from one another.
Leaks of the Nintendo NX have led some to believe that the detachable controllers will have customizable buttons that can be interchanged according to the game the player is playing. In this way, the portability of the controllers will allow gamers to bring the game with them wherever they go and continue later when they go home and attach the portable handheld to the main system.
There are also rumors that the Nintendo NX's alleged portability will enable it to play Nintendo's mobile games like Miitomo and the popular "Pokemon GO." There is also the possibility that it will support "Super Mario Run" as well as "Animal Crossing." The Nintendo NX was also rumored to offer AR support similar to what they have done with "Pokemon GO."

Nintendo has not released any official announcements regarding the NX but according to Game Transfers, the console may be unveiled by October. The release date may also be in March 2017 before the fiscal year end in Kyoto. The games that are reportedly confirmed to be coming to the console are "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," "Just Dance 2017" and a couple of "Dragon Quest" games,IGN reported.
